Bengal Guv condoles death of ex-MP Governor Yadav

West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi today expressed deep condolences at the demise of Former Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav.

"I am deeply grieved to learn about the sad demise of Ram Naresh Yadav, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and former Governor of Madhya Pradesh," Tripathi said in his message issued from Raj Bhawan this evening.

"He served as a parliamentarian in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. A law graduate of prestigious BHU, he practiced law at Azamgarh court," the message read.

Former Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav passed away on Tuesday at a hospital in Lucknow after prolonged illness.
 

Yadav (90) breathed his last at PGI Lucknow this morning.

"I had the good fortune of working with him as a minister of UP. He worked for the upliftment of the backward classes of the society and felt concerned for the welfare of the poor and the deprived. His death is not only a irreparable loss to the country but also my personal loss," Tripathi said.

"I convey my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and his numerous followers," the message said.

Yadav served as the Madhya Pradesh Governor from August 26, 2011 to September 7, 2016.

The veteran Congress leader was also Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister from 1977-79.
