West Bengal Finance and Industry Minister Amit Mitra today asked the exporting community in the state to make efforts to double exports within a specified time frame.
"Presently, the value of exports from West Bengal is Rs 63,745 crore. This should doubled to Rs 1,20,000 crore," Mitra told exporters at a FIEO programme here.
"The FIEO should give us a plan on how to achieve the target and how the state government can be involved in facilitating this endeavour," the minister said.
