Put into bat, Bengal found themselves reeling at one for two when Madhya Pradesh pacer struck back to back wickets in his first two overs.

But Goswami (120 from 180 balls; 20x4) steadied the innings, stitching 74 runs with Writam Porel (39; 79b, 6x4) and the wicketkeeper-batsman went on to share a 131-run fourth wicket partnership with Sudip Chatterjee (67; 175b, 5x4) to put Bengal back on track.

Brief Scores:

Bengal A: 285 for five (Shreevats Goswami 120, Sudip Chatterjee 67) vs Madhya Pradesh A.
