Bengal's Standing Committee on Industry clears 14 projects

West Bengal's Standing Committee on Industry today cleared land and space for 14 projects in four specified industrial park in the state ensuring an investment of Rs 100 crore.

Announcing this after a meeting of the Standing Committee on Industry, state Finance and Industry Minister Amit Mitra said that in all the state government has allotted five acres of land and nearly 56,000 square feet space for these projects.

Five-acre land has been cleared for a manufacturing unit to be set up at Vidyasagar Industrial Park, Kharagpur.

Spaces have been provided to nine units under James and Jewellery Park at Ankurhati, to three units under Shilpangan at Salt Lake and one unit under Paridhan Garment Park at Beliaghata, the minister said.
 

With the commissioning of these projects, altogether 1,100 people would get employment, he said.
