Besra releases Santhali 'Madhushala'

The President of Jharkhand People's Party Surya Singh Besra today released the Santhali translation of a collection of poems of Harivansh Rai Bachchan's 'Madhushala' (house of wine) on the occasion of the World Indigenous Day.

Titled 'Matkom Rasa', Besra translated 135 poems of the 'Madhushala' of the noted poet who was the father of the well known actor Amitabh Bachchan.

Talking to newsmen, Besra, who had already translated Rabindranath Tagore's Nobel prize winning book of poems 'Geetanjali' in Santhali, said he had been working on the project for the past two years.
