Fashion designer Rachel Roy has been attacked by Beyonce's fans after she took a jab at the pop star post the unveiling of her latest album "Lemonade".

Beyonce's debuted the feature-length visual album that chronicles her experience with infidelity and heartbreak.

"He better call Becky with the good hair," she sang on "Apathy."

As Twitter blew up with speculation on who "Becky" could be, Roy posted a curious Instagram message, which suggested that the 42-year-old designer might be the woman being referenced, reported Us magazine.

"Good hair don't care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always. Live in the light #nodramaqueens," Roy wrote.

She found herself being attacked by the 'BeyHive', the name Beyonce fans call themselves, after her taunt at the "Formation" singer and her marriage troubles.

Rumours of a relationship between Jay Z and Roy boiled over following the Met Ball Elevator Incident of 2014, in which Solange was seen on camera attacking Jay as Beyonce stood idly by.

Roy made her Instagram account private after the bashing by the fans, but she took to Twitter to address the situation: "I respect love, marriages, families and strength. What shouldn't be tolerated, no mater what, is bullying, of any kind."

Roy got her big fashion break as creative director of Rocawear, the clothing company started by Jay Z and her now-ex-husband Damon Dash.

After Rocawear was acquired by brand management group Iconix, Roy started her own namesake label with Dash.

The brand has gone through contentious ownership changes, and last year Dash sued Roy over alleged mismanagement of the business.

While her higher-end line, Rachel Roy, has been closed (there are plans to relaunch it later this year), the lower-priced Rachel Rachel Roy remains in production.
