Beyonce wins big at BET music awards

Pop star Beyonce won three trophies including the Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Best Collaboration and the FANdemonium honour at the BET music awards.

The singer was won the Best Collaboration Award for her collaboration with Jay Z on 'Drunk in Love'.

Singer Pharrell Williams and August Alsina bagged two awards each. The Grammy-winning producer grabbed Best Male R&B/Pop Artist and Video of the Year for the visuals of his "Happy". Alsina picked up the prize for Best New Artist as well as the Coca-Cola Viewers' Choice Award, reported Ace Showbiz.

Nicki Minaj also had a big night on Sunday as she was named Best Female Hip-Hop Artist for the fifth consecutive year. Along with other Young Money artists, the "Pills N Potions" singer also nabbed the Best Group award.
 

The Best Male Hip-Hop Artist award went to Drake.

Other notable winners at the Sunday ceremony included Lupita Nyong'o (Best Actress), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Best Actor), "12 Years a Slave" (Best Movie), Serena Williams (Subway Sportswoman of the Year) and Kevin Durant (Subway Sportsman of the Year).
