The clinic will be conducted by FIBA's Sports Director Lubomir Kotleba at the Thyagaraj Stadium.

It is designed for new candidates who have been nominated by their respective states to obtain FIBA certification, as well as a refresher course for current FIBA referees to renew their licenses.

"The clinic will provide an opportunity to the Indian referees to be FIBA certified and enhance their career in International matches. This will improve the game domestically as FIBA will provide world-class training in the rules and regulations of basketball," said Roopam Sharma, CEO of BFI.

The new FIBA referee candidates will attend a practical teaching seminar and then must pass a written test of basketball rules.

As part of the clinic, FIBA will also be conducting a program for FIBA Commissioners in the administration of competitions, which would include a written test.
