The Railways, which has been constructing a broad gauge rail track between Bairabi and Sairang is expected to complete the work by 2019.
The contractors and the NFR have received cooperation from the government and the local people, a Railway statement said quoting North East Frontier Railway General Manager (Construction) H K Jaggi today.
Jaggi had given this information to the state Governor Lt General Nirbhay Sharma, the statement said.
The 51.30 km railroad will have 23 tunnels and 44 bridges. The longest bridge would be 1.11 km while the highest 117 metres, it said.
