BGM demands special employment package for Gujjar youth in JK

A Gujjar organisation today demanded a special employment package for the youth of Gujjar and Bakkerwal communities besides a special recruitment drive for them in the security forces in the state.

"We demand employment package for the youth of Gujjar and Bakkerwal communities besides a special recruitment drive for them in the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir", Bharatiya Gujjar Mahasabh (BGM) state president, Eshfaq-ur- Rehman Poswal said while addressing a meeting here today.

"The youth of these communities are not much educated as they reside along the borders and in far-flung and inaccessible areas", Poswal said and demanded, "In view of this they need special attention and encouragement".
 

"We express hope that the Prime Minister during his upcoming visit to the Jammu and Kashmir is expected to announce some welfare measures and special package that could provide jobs to the youth of the Gujjar and Bakkeral communities of Jammu and Kashmir", Poswal said.
