BGR Energy Q1 net jumps 24% to Rs 11 crore

Engineering, procurement and construction company BGR Energy Systems has posted a 24.48 per cent increase in net profits at Rs 11.44 crore for the first quarter ended June 30.

The Chennai-based company had registered a net profit of Rs 9.19 crore during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, BGR Energy Systems said in a BSE filing.

For the financial year ending March 31, net profits stood at Rs 42.15 crore.

Total income from operations for the April-June quarter grew to Rs 894.07 crore from Rs 634.54 crore year ago.

For the financial year ending March 31, 2015 total income from operations were at Rs 3,365.00 crore.
 

As of June 30, company carried over an order book of Rs 8,796 crore, it said.

Shares of the company ended at Rs 124.40 apiece, up by 1.80 per cent on BSE.
