Bhaderwah tourism and cultural fest

"The four day annual Bhaderwah tourism-cum-cultural festival being organized by Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA) in collaboration with District Administration Doda and Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department from June 24 -27," CEO Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA), Kalyan Singh said.

Various government departments and

Private stakeholders

are expected to set up stalls at the venue to provide first hand information regarding government schemes and variety of products to the public. The inaugural function would be held at Government Higher Secondary School (Boys) Bhaderwah.

Bhaderwah has a chain of the picturesque and bewitching tourist destinations like high altitude Seojdhar meadowland with chain of ice-water fed streams, resort place Jai with its thick woodlands and top tourist spots Nalthi, Gatha and Khellani apart from pilgrim and watersport destinations.

 

Various cultural activities are scheduled including a national level 'mushaira' on June 24 by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Languages as well as cultural programmes by school children.

Sports such as paragliding, river crossing, rappelling, tree climbing etc would be conducted by the Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering.

"During the festival adequate boarding and lodging facility will be provided to the visitors, concerned agencies have been asked to ensure availability of transport facility from Bhaderwah to all venues of the festival" said Kalyan Singh.
