Bhagwad Gita Champion League winner Maryam meets Chouhan

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today praised Maryam Asif Siddiqui, the winner of Shrimad Bhagwad Gita Champion League, saying she has set an unique example of respect for all religions by winning the championship.

Maryam, a resident of Mumbai, met Chouhan along with her father here.

Chouhan blessed the 12-year-old student for winning the Gita Champion League held this year by International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKON) in Mumbai.

He also asked her to excel and bring laurel to the country as there is a need in the society to imbibe teachings of love, peace and harmony from all religions.
 

The Chief Minister also urged her to follow ideals of Bhagwad Gita and always remain active in the field of public welfare.

Maryam on the occasion also read out a poem on communal harmony penned by her and also donated of Rs 11,000 from her savings to the Chief Minister for children welfare.
