Both the athletes have participated in the 2012 London Olympics.

The state government has taken this decision in recognition of their achievements in order to motivate and galvanize the sports activities in the state, an official spokesman said.

Seema Antil has won silver medal in the 8th Commonwealth Games, held in Australia in the year 2006, and bronze medal in Commonwealth Games in New Delhi.

Similarly, Bhagwan has won bronze in the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi. Antil has participated in two consecutive Olympics, including London and Beijing in 2008.

The cabinet also decided to appoint Balraj Yadav as sub inspector of police under sports quota as per the policy of the state government.

Yadav is more than 35 years of age as against the prescribed age limit of 18 to 27 years for the posts of inspector and sub inspector, but the cabinet decided to relax the condition of age to give him employment.

With a view to promote sports and boost the morale of sportspersons, the government has created 18 posts of inspectors and 14 for sub inspectors under the sports quota.
