RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat today urged organisations to engage in social service to spread goodness.

Organisations, he said, were contributing through corporate social responsibility (CSR) now out of fashion or due to law, but it should be done with sensitivity.

"You will understand responsibility only when you are emotional. It has been part of our culture to contribute towards society from whatever you earn," he said.

Bhagwat made the remarks while addressing a corporate social responsibility event organised by GMR here.

The RSS 'sar sangh chalak' also appealed to organisations to train beneficiaries of their welfare programmes to help the needy when they are in a position to do so.

The event was also attended by Union ministers Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Jayant Sinha and BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy.
