Bhangra fever took over the basketball court when Indian-American group Bhangra Empire performed at the NBA half-time show.

The California-based Bhangra troupe performed on the Sunday night and the video of their act has gone viral with 1.1 million views in just two days.

The group with both men and women members, delivered the power-packed performance at California's Oracle Arena at Oakland.

This is the seventh year in a row that Bhangra Empire has performed at a halftime show of the Golden State Warriors.

The NBA is currently celebrating a series of "Bollywood nights" at basketball games across the league.

Bhangra Empire was formed in 2006. In 2009 they also performed at the White House State Dinner, hosted by the then US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama to honour the then Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The group made its television debut on season 5 of NBC's show "America's Got Talent".
