Accusing the Congress of being a two-faced party, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Tuesday said the Congress was protesting 'rising fuel prices' but it was not taking steps to reduce the rate in states where it was enjoying power.
Raje called Congress's Bharat Bandh an unsuccessful drama. She said Congress was misleading the people by protesting rising fuel prices, but Congress-ruled states did not reduce the prices of petrol and diesel.
The dual faces of Congress have been exposed. The Bharat Bandh was unsuccessful, she said addressing a gathering at Churu as part of her Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra.
She said the state government had reduced VAT on petrol and diesel considering the plight of the common man. This step was never before taken in Rajasthan, she said.
Raje exuded confidence that her party will win in the state with a historic margin in the upcoming Assembly election.
She said the state government was committed to providing electricity to each household by March 2019 and domestic electricity connections were being provided at Rs 500 and electricity was being supplied 20 hours to 22 hours on an average in the state.
