Senior bureaucrat E K Bharat Bhushan, now Special Secretary in the Union Steel Ministry, is expected to be posted as Chief Secretary of Kerala next month.
According to government sources, the state cabinet this evening took a decision in this regard and the posting would be made on completing the formalities for calling him back from the central deputation.
He would succeed incumbent Jose Cyrian who retires this month-end.
A 1979 batch IAS officer, Bharat Bhushan had served as Secretary, Civil Aviation, besides holding several key posts in his home state and at the Centre.
