Shares of auto components major Bharat Forge today advanced by nearly 8 per cent after the company reported 77.39 per cent jump in net profit for the quarter ended December 2017.
The scrip jumped 7.73 per cent to end at Rs 760.70 on BSE. During the day, it soared 8.21 per cent to Rs 764.10 -- its 52-week high.
On NSE, shares of the company rallied 7.77 per cent to close at Rs 761.20.

The company's market valuation rose by Rs 2,535.66 crore to Rs 35,410.66 crore following the surge in the stock.
Bharat Forge today reported 77.39 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 228.17 crore for the quarter ended on December 31.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 128.62 crore for the same period in the previous fiscal.
Its revenue from operations stood at Rs 1,390.55 crore. It was at Rs 990.01 crore in the same period of previous fiscal.
