Bharat Sevashram Sangha has started the relief work in flood-ravaged remote villages of Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir.

"Monks and volunteers of the Sangha after many hurdles have reached remote villages of Surajchak Chhatwari and were distributing cooked food and dry foodstuffs," Swami Biswatmananda, general secretary of the organisation, said.

They are trying to reach most inaccessible areas where the flood affected people have taken shelter, he added.
