Bharathiar Nano Innovation Centre (B-NIC) at varsity

A Nano Innovation Centre is being started at the Bharathiar University here to provide a platform for transforming, renovating research results into commercial values.

Bharathiar Nano Innovation Centre (B-NIC) aimed to translate and inculcate the spirit of innovation and creativity among the young researchers of the University here, will be inaugurated by Dr G James Pitchai, Vice-Chancellor of the University, on September 9, a vartisy release said today.

The centre will bring nanoscale products to the industrial world, opening up a new window for upcoming research students and scientists for realization of their innovative and creative ideas, the release said.
 

B-NIC, located at the Department of Nanoscience and Technology, can be utilized by the University and its affiliated colleges which offers products and solutions that span the nano researchers with a portfolio of superior quality nanoproducts and consultancy services, it said.

Nanoscience and technology is an emerging research field which has highly promising prospects for turning fundamental research into successful innovations.

There is an increasing demand for high quality nanomaterials and devices for research and industrial applications and the University is gearing up for fulfilling the quest for nanomaterials of the research society, the release said.
