Bhattarai appointed Nepal's new tourism minister

Nepal Communist Party leader Yogesh Bhattarai was Wednesday appointed the country's new Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.

The ministry was vacant since the then minister Rabindra Adhikari died in a chopper crash on February 27, 2019.

Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli appointed youth leader Bhattari to the vacant post of Minister for Culture and Tourism.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly-appointed minister at a ceremony at the Rastrapati Bhawan.
