State-owned BHEL today said M V Prabhakara and Mohammed Ayub working in the city-based Electronics Division of the company has won the Prime Minister's Shram Vir Award for 2013.
"Shram Vir Award" is instituted by the Ministry of Labour, Government of India, to recognise the performance, innovative abilities, outstanding contribution in the field of productivity and exhibition of exceptional courage and presence of mind amongst the workmen employed in various public & private sector undertakings, the company said in a release.
It said the award carries citation and cash prize of Rs 60,000 each.
The Award will be presented by the Prime Minister at a function to be held in New Delhi, the release added.
