Bhiwandi man killed; dumped at construction site

A 28-year-old man from powerloom town of Bhiwandi here was done to death and dumped at a construction site, district rural police said today.

PSI EP Bhingardive of Bhiwandi taluka police station said that the decomposed body of victim Asrar Ahmed Ansari was found lying abandoned at a construction site--Rajlaxmi Compound-- in Pogaon village of Bhiwandi last evening.

The body, which bore certain injuries on the head has been sent for postmortem, after which the exact reason of Ahmed's death can be ascertained, police said.

According to police, the victim and a suspect Javed Ansari's brother had an altercation over some issue resulting in the brutal murder of Ahmed between May 30 and June 3.
 

As the body lay abandoned on the location for several days, it was highly decomposed and emanated foul smell following which locals alerted police yesterday.

PSI Bhingardive said a missing person complaint was already registered with Shantinagar police station after the victim disappeared a few days ago.

An offence under section 302 and 201 of the IPC has been registered by Bhiwandi taluka police station and further probe was on. However, no arrests have been made so far in the case.
