Bhiwani hottest at 45 C as heat wave sweeps Hry & Pb

The heat wave sweeping most parts of Haryana and Punjab since past three days, today intensified, with Bhiwani sweating it out at 45.2 degrees Celsius.

While Bhiwani was hotter by four notches against normal, Hisar also sizzled at 43.5 deg C, up two notches.

Narnaul (41.4 deg C), Karnal (41.4 deg C) and Ambala (40 deg C) also registered above normal maximum temperatures.

Chandigarh residents also experienced a hot day at 40.7 deg C, three notches above normal.

Amritsar in Punjab also braved the hot weather recording a high of 42.4 deg C, four notches more than normal.

Ludhiana and Patiala too had a hot day at 42 deg C each, up three notches above normal.
