Congress today made a veiled attack on BJP chief Amit Shah in the wake of alleged encounter of eight SIMI activists by Madhya Pradesh police after they escaped from the high-security central jail in Bhopal.

"I cannot say anything. Only Amit Shah can comment on this. He has experience in Gujarat and his party is in power in Madhya Pradesh," party General Secretary Mohan Prakash told reporters when asked about his reaction to a video which has raised questions over the encounter.

Prakash was apparently referring to Shah's alleged involvement in Sohrabuddin encounter case in Gujarat when he was Minister of state for Home.

Terming jail-break a serious matter, he said it was for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Shah to fix accountability and take action as the incident has occurred despite tall claims of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and state Home Minister Bhupindra Singh.

Eight SIMI activists were today killed in an alleged encounter with police on the outskirts of Bhopal, hours after they escaped from the high-security Bhopal Central Jail killing a security guard but questions cropped up over the encounter.
