Post the success of their multiple academies and tennis camps across the country, the management team of the Mahesh Bhupathi Tennis Academies (MBTA) today announced a six day coaching camp starting February 1 at the Miles Bronson Residential School, here.

Through this tennis camp, MBTA will strive to provide top quality coaching to the students at the institution, helping them realise their potential and provide them a better insight into the technicalities of the sport.

While attending two sessions of two hours each, each day, alongside an hour of tennis related fitness exercises, the 60 participating children will be coached by K Shankar, Director of Coaching Operations and Coaches Education Program at MBTA, who boasts of coaching top ranked junior players for over 15 years and a Level 2 Coaching Certification by the International Tennis Federation.

Shankar will be working with the children on their technique, fitness and take them through the finer aspects of the game, such as strategy, match tactics, match temperament, amongst other such details.

With the camp, MBTA will mark their first venture in the North East.

MBTA was founded in 2006 by 12-time Grand Slam winner Mahesh Bhupathi and was conceptualised with the objective of imparting professional, world-class training (both practical and theoretical) and highly specialised coaching to youngsters of all age groups.

Over the years, MBTA has established itself as India's premier tennis academy imparting international quality coaching through a team of 90 professionally trained coaches to over 10,000 children across various levels.
