Bhushan Gulabrao Borase hasbeen appointed new Superintendent of Police of Dakshina Kannada district with immediate effect, official sources said.
The appointment is after the transfer of SP Sharanappa who has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police of Bengaluru City South Division.
Gulabrao Borase, hailing from Maharashtra, is an IPSofficer of 2009 batch. He was earlier serving as SP in CID,Bengaluru.
Inspector General of Police Amrit Paul have also been transferred to Bengaluru as IGP (Internal Security Division) and Arun Chakravathry would be the new IGP, the sources said.
