Celebrity fashion esigner-director Vikram Phadnis has roped in 'Dum Maaro Dum' lead pairs Bipasha Basu and Rana Daggubati for his debut film.

Titled as 'Nia', the film is about celebration of life.

"It's a slice of life story, the celebration of life. The word Nia means purpose. My film is about celebrating life whatever happens. It's a simple and straight story.

"My film stars Rana and Bipasa and the storyline has nothing to do with their past film 'Dum Maaro Dum'. 'Nia' is strong story and for that I needed two sensible hearts which Bipasha and Rana have," Vikram told reporters here.

The ace designer has no qualms if his first film does not hit the bull's eye because he is not making the movie to earn money.

"I don't care if I don't touch the Rs 100 crore club. I will make sure everybody associated in this film will take a step further ahead. I am not making a film to earn money," he said.

The designer said he wrote the script of the film but never knew he will don the hat of the director as well.

"Initially, I thought I will write a nice film and I will give someone to direct the film but then I realised no one will understand the film the way I feel for it," he said.

Vikram started his career as a choreographer before rising to fame as a fashion designer and also completed 25 years in the showbiz. He calls his journey a 'roller-coaster ride'.
