Tabla maestro Bickram Ghosh's new album 'Fusion Hits of Bickram Ghosh' will present some of the most popular works of his career.

The album, to be released under the record label Sony music, has nine tracks ranging from 'Awakening', 'Little Krishna, 'Purple Moon' to 'Chase' and 'Spirit of Kolkata'.

"This album is a collation of some great renditions of fusion music. Every track is different in nature and has a reverberating effect on the listener. It's very close to my heart," Bickram said in a statement.

The 47-year-old musician is strongly influenced by thumri and khayal genres of the Patiala gharana. Bickram is known to experiment and reinterpret music and culture and he dabbles in a vast repertoire of musical genres, from classical, rock, new-age, fusion to film music.

His last record was 'Transformation', which came out in 2011.

The album will release later this month.
