Bicycle expedition to commemorate Air Force Day

As part of the 83rd anniversary celebrations of IAF, a bicycle expedition to commemorate Air Force Day has concluded successfully.

"Flagged-off by Air Cmde S Srinivasan VSM, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Agra on 12 October in a grand ceremony, it was conducted to spread awareness and motivate youth to join Air Force," Gargi Malik Sinha, Defence PRO said.

Led by Wg Cdr M I Akhter, 20 personnel -- three officers and 17 air men -- pedaled through Bharatpur, Dausa and Jaipur covering a distance of 500-km in seven days.

The expedition, which concluded yesterday, not only created awareness and motivated youths to join IAF, but was also a memorable adventure that resonated with the spirit of IAF.
 

Air Force Station, Agra is a pioneer Air Force Base of the Indian Air Force and the biggest base in whole of Asia. Every year, many such activities are conducted to commemorate Air Force Day on October 8.
