BJP MP from South Delhi constituency Ramesh Bidhuri today met the Chief Secretary S K Srivastava and apprised him of the issues that needs to be addressed in the area.
Bidhuri urged the Chief Secretary to provide water connections to all the individuals residing in his onstituency so that each house gets water.
"There is no provision to provide connection to an individual. The government has given the reason that colonies come under forest land and that the provisions under the Forest Act doesn't allow them to provide the connections. However, the colonies are there since 1983 whereas the Forest act came into effect in 1986.
He also raised the issue of Under Gound Reserve (UGR) which he said is non-functional since 2006 because of no water supply.
