Bihar approves Rs 590.71 cr for bridges on Indo-Nepal border

The Bihar government today approved an expenditure of Rs 590.71 crore for construction of 69 bridges on roads under construction on Indo-Nepal border.

The approval was granted at a meeting of state cabinet presided over by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar here.

Among other important decisions, the cabinet gave its nod to Rs 613 crore for execution of poultry development plan for another 5 years.

The chief minister had recently announced providing 45 hen to over 5.50 lakh poor in three instalments in a bid to provide nutritional security to them.

The cabinet also gave its nod to Rs 672.50 crore grant to Panchyati raj institutions as per recommendation of state finance commission, according to official sources.
 

It has also approved renovation of a planetarium at a cost of Rs 30.76 crore.
