Bihar, Bengal can fight together against retail FDI: Minister

After his meeting with West Bengal's Minister of State for Agriculture Becharam Manna, Singh said crores of farmers would be affected once the FDI decision comes into effect.

Singh also said the fund alloted by Centre for ushering in a Green Revolution in seven states of Eastern India was "not sufficient".

While Bihar has registered a 16 per cent growth in agriculture, West Bengal was also doing well in this sector, Singh.

"Both Bihar and West Bengal have capacity to export agricultural produce after meeting their needs", Singh said.
