Bihar court awards 10-year RI to man arrested with liquor

A court here today awarded a 10-year rigorous imprisonment to a man, who was arrested with more than 100 litres of liquor last year.

Additional District Judge Kaushalendra Kumar awarded the punishment to Ganesh Sao, who was arrested with 144 litres of liquor from his house at Kadirganj within the Town police station limits.

The judge also slapped a fine of Rs one lakh on the convict.

Sale and consumption of alcohol was banned in Bihar by the state government over a year ago.
