PDP MP Tariq Hameed Karra, a known critic of PDP-BJP alliance in J&K, today said that the results of Bihar Assembly elections were a wake up call to his party (PDP) as the door has been closed "on communal forces".

"Knock knock PDP. Still time to wake up. Door closed on communal forces. Window of opportunity opened for secular forces. Knock knock PDP," Karra, who represents the Srinagar Lok Sabha seat, said in a series of tweets following the thumping win of Grand Alliance in Bihar polls.

The senior PDP leader said that the results of the Bihar polls were an endorsement to the issues he had raised in Kashmir.

"Issues I raised in Kashmir endorsed by Bihar verdict. Had msg (message) emanated from J&K by pull out from RSS-driven dispensation, it would've been stronger," Karra said.

In an apparent dig at the PDP leadership for welcoming the Prime Minister's economic package to Jammu and Kashmir, Karra said packages do not necessary win electoral acceptance.

"If packages won electoral acceptance, @narendramodi , @AmitShah & @DrMohanBhagwat would've been celebrating all over chatter box today (sic)," he said.

Karra also hit out at the BJP for raking up cow politics, saying the party had to "eat humble pie".

"After milking temple issue dry, eye on Bihar gains, @BJP4India raked up cow politics. Only to eat humble pie & be rejected by secular Bihar (sic)," he added.
