Bihar experiences light to moderate rainfall

Light to moderate rainfall was today experienced at many places across the state of Bihar.

Light to moderate rainfall was experienced at many places in north-eastern parts of the state and at a few places of north-west and north central parts of the state, Met Department said.

Light rainfall was registered at one or two places of south Bihar and heavy rainfall was recorded at one or two places of north-east and north west Bihar, it said.

The Met department said in its forecast that Patna and Gaya will witness generally cloudy sky with light rainfall in next 24 hours.
 

Bhagalpur, however, is expected to witness a generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder while Purnea would witness a generally cloudy sky with one or two spell of rain or thundershowers, Met office said.

Patna, Gaya and Bhagalpur registered no rainfall except Purnea which recorded a rainfall of 0.3 mm in past 24 hours.

Gaya and Purnea recorded 5.0 and 0.2 mm rainfall today since 8:30 AM whereas Patna and Bhagalpur registered no rainfall.

Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 33.9 degrees Celsius while Gaya recorded the highest temperature among the four cities at 35.4 degree Celsius.

Bhagalpur and Purnea recorded maximum temperatures of 34.0 and 32.8 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The maximum humidity level in the morning ranged between 76 to 92 per cent in Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea, while in the evening it was recorded between 70 to 85 per cent in these cities, the Met office said.
