Bihar fake currency racketeer arrested in UP

The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has arrested one person involved in fake Indian currency racket, a police spokesman said here today.

Nizamuddin Ansari, a native of Bihar, was arrested from Charbagh railway station yesterday and fake currency with face value of Rs 7 lakh recovered from him, the spokesman said.

He said Ansari was involved in the racket since 2009.

Five hundred notes of Rs 1,000 denomination and 400 of Rs 500 denomination were recovered from his possession, he said.
