Five persons were killed and six others injured when an overcrowded bus turned turtle and fell into a roadside ditch in East Champaran district today.
The mishap occurred as the front tyre of the vehicle burst after which the driver lost control, Additional Superintendent of Police T K Mandal said.
The bus was on way to Raxual from Motihari.
All the five passengers died on the spot, he said, adding that the injured have been admitted to the sadar hospital here.
