Bihar Governor Satyapal Mallik and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar greeted people on the eve of Diwali today.
"Diwali - the festival of lights, inspires man to strive towards moving from darkness to light, from falsehood to truth and from death to immortality," the governor said in his message.
He also said national integrity and social harmony are strengthened by celebrating this festival.

"On this occasion, we illumine our external surroundings besides bringing the light of love, joy and friendliness to our inner selves," the governor said.
"Diwali symbolises the victory of good over evil. May this festival bring peace, prosperity and happiness into people's lives," Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in his message said.
