Bihar govt to pay salary to contractual teachers through banks

The decision in this regard was taken at a cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, principal secretary (cabinet coordination and secretariat) Ravikant told reporters.

The salaries of the contractual teachers will be credited in their accounts through the public sector and scheduled banks, he said.

The funds towards the salaries to the contractual teachers will be made available to the nodal recruiting agencies from where the same will be deposited in the individual teachers bank accounts by 15th day of every month, Ravikant said.

The teachers will get information about credit of their salaries in their bank accounts through SMSes, the official said.

 

Among other cabinet decisions out of six-point agenda, the state government sanctioned a project for construction of 64.60 meters barrage at Dardha river in Patna district near Dhanarua village that will provide irrigation to 8,000 hectare farmland.

The construction of barrage will be completed by 2014 and it will cost Rs 25 crores, he said.
