Bihar minister security guard's carbine stolen in Jehanabad

A service carbine and 70 cartridges belonging to the security guard of Bihar minister Krishnandan Prasad Verma has been stolen from his house at Sugaon village in Jehanabad district.

Tehta police outpost Officer-in-charge Amarendra Kumar said that the incident occurred when the minister's security guard, Jitendra Paswan, was fast asleep in a room built under a water tank at Sugaon village by keeping the carbine and cartridges in a bag last night.

When he woke up in the morning today, he found that the bag was missing, Officer-in-charge said adding that Additional Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar inquired about the incident after reaching Sugaon village, the minister's native village.
 

Two persons have been detained in this connection, he said.
