Bihar Police arrests gangster from Noida

The Bihar Police today arrested notorious gangster Mukesh Singh from Nodia in Uttar Pradesh.

He was operating there under the banner of Amrapali Constructions and was operating in Delhi, Noida and Uttarakhand.

The gangster was wanted in Patna for several crimes including murder and extortion and had fled Bihar fearing his arrest.

Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Manu Maharaj said, "We had our intelligence inputs that Mukesh was operating from Noida after shooting dead a builder-contractor Rajeev Singh, known to be a close associate of a legislator - cum - muscleman of Bihar. We formed a special team led by our police officers and nabbed him."
 

The SSP said during the surveillance mounted on the gangster, it came to light that Mukesh had changed his identity and was operating in collaboration with Amrapali Constructions to terrorise and extort money from several businessmen.

"Mukesh used to pose as a builder of Amrapali Constructions. He extorted money from several people and big businessmen living in Noida and adjoining areas. Several of them had fled from the area due to his terror. His network was also spread in Delhi and Uttarakhand," added Maharaj.

The SSP informed that intelligence inputs revealed the gangster was to extort money from a businessman of Seemapuri area near Noida today and accordingly a trap was laid and he was arrested. However, two others accompanying him managed to flee.
