Bihar receives light to moderate rainfall

Light to moderate rainfall occurred at most places in Bihar with Met department predicting possibility of rain or thundershowers among major cities of the state tomorrow.

Light to moderate rainfall occurred at most places in south west, south central parts and at a few places of south east and north west parts of Bihar in past 24 hours, Met department said.

Light rainfall occurred at one or two places in rest of the state.

Among major cities, Gaya witnessed highest rainfall of 18.1 mm, followed by 2.2 mm in Patna, 1.6 mm in Purnea.

In its forecast, Met department predicted generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder in various parts of the state for tomorrow.
 

The state capital remained humid because of light rainfall in past 24 hours.

Purnea recorded the highest maximum temperature at 35.6 degree Celsius followed by 35.0 in Bhagalpur, 33.5 in Patna and 32.6 degree Celsius at Gaya.

Patna remained the most humid place that recorded a maximum morning humidity level at 83 per cent followed by 81 per cent in Purnea, 80 per cent in Bhagalpur and 78 per cent in Gaya.
