Bihar reeling under heat and intense humidity

Scorching sun and intense humidity caused suffering to the people of Bihar today with the MeT department forecasting rain in many parts of the state in the next 24 hours.

Gaya was the hottest region at 41.2 degrees Celsius and maximum humidity level of 52 per cent.

Patna recorded a maximum of 38.4 degrees Celsius and a maximum humidity level of 54 per cent. Bhagalpur recorded maximum temperature of 38.6 degrees Celsius and humidity level of 69 per cent, MeT office sources said.

The weather office said there was no forecast of rain in the capital but many other parts of the state are likely to receive rainfall in the next 24 hours.
 

North central Bihar including districts like Madhubani, Sitamarhi and Vaishali, north eastern districts of Supual and Saharsa and south eastern districts including Jamui and Banka may see rainfall in the next 24 hours, MeT office said.
