Bihar continued to sizzle under extended spell of heat wave today with Gaya remaining the hottest at 42.9 degrees Celsius though maximum temperature in other areas declined moderately, the MET department said.
The heat wave continues to persist in most part of Bihar with average maximum temperature hovering at around 40 degree Celsius, the department said, adding that the sky will remain clear for over the next 24 to 48 hours.
Meanwhile, Gaya remained the hottest place with a maximum temperature at 42.9 degree C followed by Patna at 40.4 degree C.
Bhagalpur and Purnea recorded maximum temperature at 39.6 and 36.7 degree Celsius respectively.
