Under the direction of District Magistrate, Patna, Additional Collector Anil Kumar approached Hazaribagh Deputy Commissioner Manish Ranjan before attaching the property.

Mishra had purchased a 21.2 decimal land in his wife's name when he was posted in Hazaribagh as DIG Police Training College in 1986-87.

His wife Kanchanbala gave power of attorney to Sanjay Kumar, who in turn, sold the land to Indrajit Prasad Singh, who constructed a house to set up an auto servicing centre in 2007, the sources said.

The Bihar Vigilance Court had found Mishra guilty in a corruption case and ordered confiscation of his entire property and his relatives.

The Bihar government had already confiscated his properties in Patna, including a palatial building.
