Bihar shivers, mercury likely to dip further

Residents of Patna and Gaya experienced cold weather conditions in the absence of sunshine with temperature marginally dipping today.

Patna recorded a minimum temperature of 12.2 degrees Celsius, the state MeT office bulletin said.

The maximum temperature in the state capital was 18.6 degrees Celsius while the temple town of Gaya was the coldest with a minimum temperature of 10.2 degrees Celsius.

Bhagalpur recorded a minimum temperature of 14.1 degrees Celsius and the maximum was 20 degrees Celsius. In Purnea, the minimum temperature was 14.3 degrees Celsius, the MeT office said.

The state weather office has forecast fog/mist tomorrow morning and partly cloudy sky later in the day.
 

It has predicted a further fall in mercury tomorrow with minimum temperature at 11 degrees Celsius.

Despite chilly conditions devotees participated in large numbers on the occasion of Nagar Kirtan as part of Prakash Parva to celebrate the 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh here in Patna.
