Direction to this effect was given by Minister for Food Shyam Rajak after a review meeting on Public Distribution System (PDS) here.
He said the state government has decided to organise "foodgrains day" to provide ration grains to those left out within the time.
The minister said the government was concerned that no beneficiary was deprived of the cheap wheat and rice, an official statement said.
He directed officials to ensure that all the beneficiaries avail of the PDS benefits in their areas.
Rajak today held review meeting on PDS with concerned officials of Tirhut, Darbhanga and Saran divisions.
The minister enquired from officials from Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi Sheohar, West Champaran, East Champaran, Vaishali, Saran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Darbhanga, Madhubani and Samastipur about lifting of foodgrains and its distribution among beneficiaries.
