Sending the state government in a tizzy, the Governor had asked for a report about the violence during the Sena chief's funeral procession and had cut short his visit to New Delhi and arrived here yesterday, a police official said.

Director General of Police (DGP) Abhayanand and Principal Secretary (Home) Amir Subhani held a closed-door meeting at the CM's official residence with other top officials to finalise the report today.

Alleged Sena supporters had set afire a police outpost and several vehicles enroute to the Sena chief's funeral procession and beat up public and police personnel.
